Modulation colors - artists oils
The Medusa head on the shield was painted in a schematic manner to corespond with the period but not so schematic as other examples. I belive it was a matter of customer taste.
I used the offered base which was furthermore enhanced with natural materials to represent an arid landscape from the shores of the Mediteranean sea.
I named this vignete "Thalassa - Thalassa !"
Sold out to a private colector.
